
As lead singer of Sugar Ray, co-host of Extra!, fashion model, and a talking salad spray, one would think that Mark McGrath certainly has certainly seen and done it all. But it seems as if that’s not enough for him as he branches out into a new venture – tween lingerie.
“People don’t understand the buying power of the female tween in the US like Mark McGrath does,” said McGrath. “I mean they spent millions of dollars on Sugar Ray pillow cases and those had pictures of the entire band on it. Imagine if they only featured me!” According to Gwinnett, tween girls in the United States accounted for $11 billion in 2005 clothing sales.
“There’s nothing sexier than a teenage girl in a nice crotchless cat suit. And we all know that little girls want to dress like older girls…” McGrath said with a smile. “I’ll also have a line for plus sized tweens that will carry inspirational messages like push-up teddies that read ‘you’ll never get a piece of Mark McGrath looking like that…eat a carrot.’ I think I can make a difference. You don’t see the Olsen twins helping out 11 year-olds with curves. That’s where MM comes in.
