Sears has had some tough times during the last 20 years, sluggish sales, the purchase of Lands End, the merger with Kmart, and now the ire of Senator Sam Brownback. What irks Senator Brownback so? It's the new Sears DieHard Battery featuring new DieHard Evolution Technology™.
Brownback is an outspoken opponent of evolution and recently wrote "I believe, as do many biologists and people of faith, that the process of creation -- and indeed life today -- is sustained by the hand of God in a manner known fully only to him. You can't tell me that something grew lungs and legs, crawled out of the sea and eventually turned into a product that can power my car. Furthermore, I can't believe any other being other than God himself could offer such a feat for $149 at Sears stores nationwide."
