In digging through reviews of their past albums I found a lot of quotes like this "So, Geraldine and Dave have a little boy Ricky and they teach him how to play golf and they talk with him a lot and when Geraldine looks at him, she's very pleased with herself  she must be a great mother because her Ricky is smiling all the time! She even asks him: Ricky, how come you're always smiling? And instead of answering: "Because I'm made of wood and this is the creepiest record you'll ever hear!", he says: "Because I have a Jesus in me!" Ahm, and what did the Bible said about the wooden idols?"
So you can imagine that I was stunned to hear that Geraldine and Ricky have reformed for a reunion tour. To be sure, fans can expect to hear a lot of their old songs. But Ricky is quick to point out that they have updated their sound for "the kids." Their new sound is described as "Def Leppard meets the Muppets." Even more striking are the contemporary covers they will be doing in concert. The covers in their set currently include:
Woke Up With Wood (ZZ Top)
Slide it In (White Snake)
Orgasm Addict (Buzzcocks)
The Moo-Moo Song (Johnny and the Leisure Suits)
More as it develops.
