There’s a giving side to Darth Chaucer that many of you readers don’t see. One of my passions is helping the underpriveledged. Especially young women and single mother’s with no one to turn to. That’s why I run a camp for these special people in the hills of Alabama. It’s a place where the women can escape their past. They can take a shower, get a massage, a mud bath, and finally get a chance to treat themselves like the women they are. Many of these women come in looking like life has beaten them down. I can assure you that when Darth Chaucer's Home for Attractive Young Women in Need of Dignity and Self Respect is done with them, each one feels new and invigorated on the inside and out.
This year I hosted a Christmas party and I thought I would share a few of the pictures with you. As I said, I can only do so much. Give them a place to eat and sleep, some clean clothes, and a sense of self worth.
You’ll see from the pictures that I was Santa. I truly mean this when I say this – I think the women gave me more than I gave them. It was really as special night that none of us will soon forget. Especially if any of the women gave Santa Darth any presents that would require his stocking be stuffed with antibiotics to get rid of.
