Many of the almost one dozen readers this site has (give or take half a dozen) know or have known the infamous Jack Fruh. For the next few Fridays I will be exploring what Jack Fruh may be like now that he has a new life. Today: Extreme Larper.
A larper is a live action role-playing game (LARP) is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters' actions. The first LARPs were run in the late 1970s, inspired by role-playing games and genre fiction. The activity gained international popularity during the 1980s.
LARP groups have highly varied approaches to rules, costume, degree of physical acting out, participation, focus of character activity, and genre. LARPs range in size from small private events lasting a few hours to huge public events with thousands of players lasting for several days.
If Jack Fruh were to exist today as an extreme larper, I would imagine he would be based out of Darien, IL. Subsistence farming and gaming would be a must. A Larper Fruh is a stallion that must run, and run free. He would not be bothered by the restrictions of a relationship and would instead prefer to club his mates over the head with a large boulder or blunt object. While legally father of no one, rumors of hundreds of "Fruh Fruit" would persist in Darien.
The Extreme Larper remains in character at all times, which can make it difficult to obtain full-time employment. Luckily, Fruh found employment at the Bohemian Crystal Restaurant, located at 639 N. Blackhawk Drive in scenic Westmont, IL. Fruh works in the kitchen and has been known to live there for short stints.
His larpist needs would be staged at the KFC located at 1450 75th St. in Downers Grove, IL. His larps would include fantasys of casting spells and slaying evil dragons (chicken). Later he would harvest the bounty and dine with his slaw wench (KFC cashier).

That KFC now also houses a Long John Silvers under the same roof.
Also, I've thought "Fruh Fruit" was what I scraped off my shoe.
Also, I never thought the Fruh would retain as much sexiness and charisma. I guess he just gets better with age.
He probably picked that KFC due to the LJS -- he's all about nautical larping.
Like a fine wine, Jack Fruh just gets better with time. Someone should have "popped his cork" at homecoming in high school.

Also, I knew it was true Fruh in that picture from the eyebrows.
