Why did I stop working for advertising agencies? It wasn't because of the long hours and crappy pay. It was because all of the things that need to be said have already been said. Take this ad for example. Put it in print today and you are going to have a 1/2 dozen women's shelters crying that you are condoning the beating of women. 30 years ago, the writer was simply stating the obvious, that this broad needs to be clubbed like a seal.
