The man my dad once referred to as "that funny colored fella" is dead (ok, he was pointing to Nipsey Russel, but he meant Flip Wilson).
Nipsey Russel, best known for his role in "Car 54 Where are You?" and numerous appearances on Password and Hollywood Squares -- where he would bust out some serious science in the form of humorous poetry, has moved on to the great Poetry Slam in the Sky. May he never be confused with Flip Wilson again.
In remembrance, I will wear a "Futbol Americano" sticker on the back of my head and create poems that rhyme with the word "hooters" all day.
