Geri Jewell, who played Cerebral Palsy afflicted "Geri" on The Facts of Life recently learned that she actually has Cerebral Palsy and was not acting during her appearances on the show. "I thought it came to me a bit too easily," said Jewell. Jewell, who now appears on HBO's Deadwood, learned of her affliction while talking to Producer/Director Ed Bianchi during casting. "Ed asked me to drop the whole 'tard thing' and I couldn't. It was really odd. I knew I was good at it, but I guess I wasn't that good."
