Let me tell you what your dog is trying to tell you. All it takes is a picture of your dog and a brief description of your family. I will then use the experience I have amassed as one of the nation's leaders in canine social behavioral studies to provide you with the keys to improve your relationship with your dog.

She seems to have an invisible touch
The little Roker
So, I have been in sole custody of my 17 month-old daughter since Sunday as Mrs. Roker is away at a conference. I have been dreading this 8 day span since the moment I heard about it. Not that I don't love my daughter, but because I have never been entrusted with any living thing that I found to be so precious except for our dog, and Meg required far less attention than Ally does. That, and I don't have ANY experience caring for children. While I am only halfway home, I need to say that I have really enjoyed my time with Little Al as it has really helped me better understand what makes her tick.
Last night may have been the icing on the cake. I had a long day at work and I was exhausted. Al probably could sense that "the fun wasn't there" as I struggled to make her dinner, because I heard her yell "Da Da," and then she started to rock from side to side and turn around. As she spun around she began to sing and to my amazement, do something that remotely looked like a cross between river dancing and tap dancing. This went on for about 30 seconds. When she was done, she walked over to me and motioned for me to pick her up. She then kissed me on the cheek. She ate dinner like a little lady, only coating her hair with Mac and Cheese twice. Later she sat on my lap as we watched a Signing Time DVD. At 7:30 (her bedtime) she made the sign that she was tired and walked to her bedroom.
Tonight I probably won't be as lucky as I was last night. But that's OK, because I had fun last night and I am sure I will have fun with her again and again. I'm a really lucky dad.

You should teach her how to cabbage patch.
I have been trying -- it's not there yet. She's getting there -- she is kinda stuck on "the Sprinkler" -- but she is trying to snap -- something she just doesn't quite have down yet.
She's taking it easy on you.
I'll send the UberGirls over to teach her how to take advantage of your inexperience and eagerness to please.
She probably is taking it easy on me and that is great. She tries to clean up after herself and everything.
While I appreciate your offer, I'll stick with Al, anything more will lead to medication.
