Why does Ron Paul want to kill monks?

I dislike a lot of people, but I have never had issue with a monk. Most of them don't talk. They don't steal my chicks, and from what I understand, they make some of the finest beers in the world. So why did Ron Paul vote to have them all lined-up and killed by the Chinese government?

Is he a secret commie? Is he just pissed that they are all rocking that whole "bad ass bald" look? Maybe he is jealous that they get to roam around in robes all day and he has to wear outfits he bought from the "Professional Collection" at Kohl's. Either way, Ron Paul wants a Monk pelt on his office floor, and he wants it now.
